We just had some Stone Imperial Russian Stout fall into our lap…. At 10.5% it is understandably a heavy beer, but not overwhelming even in he middle of a warm day. The high alcohol content was traditionally to keep the beers from freezing during long oversea transports…but the effect hasn’t changed with the passing of time. They’ve been brewing this beer for ten years and just released this years supply a few weeks ago, and I’m glad they did… now I’m making up for lost time.
