No Brakes is hosting a sub event in conjunction with Faster Mustache’s Third Annual 24 hour race.  Be Prepared!

It is five dollars to register, fixed gear and no brakes only. Register at the No Brakes table at Johnny’s sometime before the main race starts, shit you can even register afterwards. The idea behind this race is to judge the Omnium riders against each other based on the skills specific to our niche. The main staple of which is not necessarily breakneck top speeds. Another goal ofour race to minimally impact the flow of the Twenty Four Hour Race. There are no set times that a rider must be somewhere, thus a rider can easily compete in both races simultaneously.

Omnium Skills
At any time from noon to 5 pm riders must stop by No Brakes and be judged against the clock and ruler in skids, track stands, back circles, etc.

Omnium Lap
At any time from seven to ten pm, racers will compete in the Omnium race laps. A race lap consists of one regular RFID confirmed and legal 24hr race lap (so you have to be registered!). This lap will have a twist during this lap the rider must also satisfy any and all of our requirements. These demands will not be extraordinary, but you can expect this lap to take a bit longer than your average 24 hr race lap. We suggest that riders check out with our table at Johnny’s after checking out with the Mustache table, and check in with us before checking in with the 24hr officials. This is because we are going by our times and five seconds over 24 hour lap is unlikely to make a large difference but in a lap it most certainly will make a difference in ours. Omnium lap times start from the time a rider comes up and announces that they are leaving on their one and only Omnium Lap. There are no restarts.

The winner will be decided solely on the basis of points.
Omnium Skills will be scored five deep: 5pts for first 1pt for fifth
(some skills events will be judged on pass fail for 2 pts)
Omnium Lap will be scored ten deep 10pts first 1pt tenth
Best rider over all wins.
Winner to be announced and rewarded during 24 hr prize ceremony.
